Can you post a picture of how you rig your "spotsticker" and "shakeyhead"? I've got the rigs, I'm just curious how everybody rigs their worms. Thanks.

The latest issue of FLW OUTDOORS has some info on the shakeyhead this month. It seems that the weight of choice for many on the tour is 1/8 oz in water up to 20 ft.

I have a wide variety in the shakey head jigs. This one is tied up for tomarrow.

Its a great fishing method and i try to keep one tied on in case I can't get a bite from nothing else. most my fish at the Nick/heatTec tournament were caught on that rig but not that worm.

I prefer the heavier jig head just so they sit tight on the bottom and stand the worm up alittle better.

Pointer...I love your sig!

Looks like it needs some chartreuse on it, to make it funky!

I know that worm is a Zoom because you said it was but V & M makes one exactly like that.

As I understand it, the key to rigging a shakey-head worm is that the tail of the worm stands up and wiggles when you apply the proper shake to the rod tip. You can put a worm on a regular grub hook or any jig head (even as a trailer) and get a similar "shakey" action, but the worm is not held on by a screw and will slip. You might also have to change worms more often.

I have a few of the screw-heads, but will use the grub hooks more often as they are cheaper.emoLaugh emoGeezer

My dad taught me that if you solder a tiny piece of heavy wire to the grub hook shaft aggled towards the head, your grub will not slip. This will keep your worm on shakey-style also.

Just a "poor-man's" cheaper and, from my limited experience, fairly effective way to do something fairly new with the old crap I already have in the old tacklebox.emoBigsmile
