That brings to mind a deal we used to do with used little CO2 cylinders when we were kids. Saw the little end off far enough back to just barely fit a match head in. Pack it full of old timey sulphur headed kitchen matches...leave one head sticking out and light that sucker. AND DUCK!!!!. We did it in a neighbors driveway that had about a 3 foot wall... aim it out over the yard and the road. Them things will leave just like a rocket...hard to see except for the smoke trail. Just about got a car or two. Every now an then that thing would spin around and get down in the driveway between the block walls and chase us around for about 30 seconds. Great fun for 10 years olds about 40 years ago !!
I`ve been thinkin about taking one of those big cylinders from one of the inflatable vest and see what that thing would do !

This reminds me of a few things we used to do when I was working at one of the foundries downtown back in the early 60's, we used open fire barrels all over the place fired with coke to warm by in the winter, those barrels would be cherry red, there were cans of ether all over the place where the mechanics had to start the fork trucks and pay loaders with. We would pitch a can of ether in one of the fire barrels and run, it would shoot a round ball of flame, spinningabout a hundred feet in the air, mighty pretty around a nasty black foundry.

Another prank was to bring a rubber snake to work and tie about 6 foot of mono line to its head and tie a fish hook on the other end of the line, sneak up on someone and hook the fish hook in his pants cuff and yell snake, the poor guys would run their tongues out because every time he looked back the snake was still after him. Those were the good ole days.
