Sick Stripers?

Several of the stripers I've caught recently have had these sores or gashes on them. All in about the same place. Anyone know what it is or what causes it?

Can you see any worms or other parasites in the sores? If they are there, they are hard to see - you will have to look closely.

I don't know if I could ever dig up the picture but I filleted one that had that around the belly and on the inside there were two big tumor-like black objects on the inside that were pretty big, about the size of a 12 oz aluminum can

maybe a lamprey got a hold of it
