4/3... Splash-in in at 11A. 1st bite at 11:30- solid 4#. Fished up to power plant and then below the islands, nothing all day for 5 hrs. At 4:30 the baro bottomed out and the wind changed. Caught a solid 5#, then a 3#. All 3 solid fish for 12lbs. Load-out at 5:30. Everything caught in 2-3 FOW.

3/30... Splash-in at 4P. Had 6 bites in 2 hrs. Put 3 keeper bucks in the boat and had 3 pull off. One of them was a good 'un. Most in 3-6 FOW. Load out at 6:30P. Craw and shad colored cranks on both days. Tried a squarebill and spinnerbait both days and got no love.

We should get a good spawn this year from not transporting egg laden females all day in a bumpy livewell - due to no tournaments. Catch and release tx's like the MLF format are ok but, in IMO, tx's should be banned during the spawn anyway. It's a lot of stress on the fish. We need to give back. Not just take.

Way to not give up a lot of guys would've quit but you stayed and it was worth it good job.

I would have to agree that if we could just leave those egg laden females alone for a couple of weeks it might help the fishing the rest of the year, thanks for the report

I think opposite. Tva makes it harder for your average joe smo people to catch em during the spawn for lack of obviously cover. They are gonna spawn regardless. The TN river chain has been, is and will be one of the best fisheries in the country. Don’t take for granted the fisheries you are able to fish and who manages them, TVA and TWRA
