Notched my first win on Watts Bar Sunday with the Dream Chasers Bass Club! Woke up at 3:30 feeling like I should go back to bed and stay home but I put too much prep into this event with Google Earth and map study etc., and just had to have a tx fix as well. It was DC #5 for the season but my 1st with them for 2020. This was the 2nd time I fished Watts Bar and really had no clue what to do or where to fish so I decided to focus on and recreate what works for me on the Chick. I picked out 'Whites Creek' for my target area and decided in advance to hunker down there. Big body of water with a lot of fish. 1st 3 hrs nothing. Not a tap. Getting nervous. Pulled out of the clear backwater channels to mid creek where I found a little bit of color to the water (maybe 2' lure visibility on wind blown banks) Decided to kick it in gear and speed fish as much water as possible with spinner baits, crank baits and a jig. There's a lot of wood and rock in this lake but that was not productive. Figured something out with iso patches of pond weed and brush piles just off the banks in 5-7 FOW. I'm glad it was not a five fish limit. It was a very tough day as I only had 4 bites and culled once but they were the right bites as I edged out 2nd by 8/100 ths. Had BF too with a 4.10. Running back down river I was glad for Navionics as I'd have gotten lost trying to find Fooshee ramp. I love Watts Bar now (lol), and Im eager to fish it again. At least until I have a bad day. Thanks to Lynnwood Scott for founding and hosting this org and event. Great Job! Congrats to the CFF money winners. Was going to fish but had Saturday work obligations. Hope to see you all at the next one on the Chick!

Good job , Glenn. That was a tight close weigh in for sure. You had us by 8/100ths and we were only 2/100ths ahead of 3rd place. We had a shallow grass pattern figured out leading up to Sunday but that was bust. Moved to rocky, main river points that had been producing and that was a bust. Ended up following a mayfly hatch down a bluff and started catching fish. The water was super clear and we were actually sightfishing with the boat sitting in close to 50 feet of water. The bass could see us but didn’t seem to care as we caught several fish within just a few feet of the boat. All fish caught on a frog. Best 3 fish weighed 9.61# and best 5 would have pushed 15#. We just couldn’t get the big bite to go along with the 3 pounders.

Nice job and on finding a good pattern! Good report!
