Skipjacks, Wheeler Dam on Wed. afternnon, 7-9

I will be going to find some skips tommorow afternoon. Anyone down that way want to join? Boat is better, but I will bank-it if I can. I have never been to either dam, so dont know if bank-fishing is even possible there. I will be working in the Am, so I cant tow a boat..

Sorry SpurHunter wish I could make it down there...I need some real bad myself...I know theres some skips below wheeler not sure about wilson but I know you can bank it below wilson but I can't remember if you can below wheeler... emoSorry emoScratch

Thanks man. Are you sure below Wilson?? I was just looking at a satellite picture, and I cant see where you can get close enough to fish it.

Yea I got it mixed up its wheeler thats got a wall you can fish off of with a top so you can be in the shade...

Spur, when you park at Wheeler Dam, park in the small lot east of the very large rec area and parking lot. You'll be next too the little creek that feeds. Fish from there up towards the dam. My brother, dad and I have caught thousands of skipjack there. I wish I was in town...
