Skull Island Catfish 12/23/06

Finnaly got a change to get my line wet yesterday. We got the the main river channel dropped out out fresh shadd around 35 feet down I hook a nice cat.
First time out in weeks first cast hook a fish... Awsome... To say the least...

The fish turned the boat around and took us down river.. got him in the boat.. 12.5 lb blue..

Went to start the boat.... would not start... so we had to use trolling motor to travle the 1.5 miles to dock took 2 hours

Boy was I glad I got that fish though!!!!

It is great to have fish on your first outing with your boat. Congrats. I know about the cranking battery problems too. If you have a separate trolling motor battery you can jump the big engine. Was it a battery problem?

no unfortunatly it seems to be bad spark plugs... Crossing fingers.... Not my first outing on the boat just first problem with it since I bought it.... But the fish was worth it!!!
