Skunk season!!!

Well, it's apparent from my trip to the river today that the skunk mating season is in full swing. I saw 5 squished skunkies on the roads and caught a whiff of at least two more that had close encounters of the scented kind. They sure lose their fear of autos this time every year.

The real topper for the day was the squished skunk that had a buzzard feeding on it as I drove past in the opposite lane. It was so strong that I about gagged inside my car - but I swear that that buzzard smiled and winked at me as I drove past! emoEek emoEek emoDoh

I saw 8 on hwy 136 in a quarter mile stretch last week...
