Caught 12 Catfish today, the biggest 10 ½ lbs and the smallest was 3. Fished from 9:30 till 1pm. Lost 2 more in the anchor rope. They always seem to know were the anchor is. Using worms under a float 3 to 4 foot deep along rocky banks. Water temp was 67 when I put in. As the temp gets into the 70’s and higher it will just get better.emoToast

Good Job Flymaker ... and you need to get you a product called Slime Guard!!! That'll save your shirt ... really good stuff.

Right Slo?????

Wish you had pics!!!

Thanks T.T. Yeah, I forgot to get the camera. Would have been some nice pics. Didn't get any slime on my cloths but the boat sure is a mess. Where do you get this slime guard? Will it take the slime out of the boat carpet?emoToast

I wondered what the heck she talking about and then it hit me. Been retired to long. No, you have to get hold of the R.R. They'll either put you in touch with somebody or give you a # to call.

Thanks for the report flymaker! So...the fish were hanging on rocky banks 3-4ft deep under a bobber? That's a new pattern to me since I normally catch mine on bottom in 20-30 ft. What was the total depth where you were fishing?

Hey Dhaun, I was fishing from anywhere near the bottom ( 3 to 4 ft. ) up to 8 or 9 foot of water. The boat was anchored in 11 to 13 foot. Right now they're crusing the banks looking for a hole to lay their eggs. Every Cat I caught today was full of eggs. If you're getting a lot of Bream hits, it's best to move. If there are Cats around, the Bream usually are not to bad.emoThumbsup

Thanks for the info flymaker - I know they go shallow at some time to lay eggs but I'm not educated enough to know when it normally occurs. If they are laying eggs in shallow water holes then it looks like maybe there might be some grabblin opportunities in the future for those wanting to try it.

Okay .. first let me apologize to Flymaker .. no such thing as Slime Guard. I was pulling your leg ... because slo-ride did it to me. I suppose it wasn't nice taking advantage of you like that. But ... nice catfishing report none the less.

I work at EPB and we had a gentleman come in a couple months ago and gave a safety talk on rail road crossings. He was great and the presentation was awesome. It's amazing how many people try to race a train ... what can they be thinking!?!?!

I lived on a street in my hometown that had a rail road track right down the middle of it ... we had trains all the time. As kids we used to go put pennies on the track and silly stuff like that. But we NEVER played chicken with a train or tried to beat one at a crossing. I saw a truck get hit by a train 1 block from my house .. it wasn't pretty. That'll teach you respect in a hurry. Our little chi-wa-wa, 14 years old, blind and deaf, walked next to the tracks one day when a train came by and got sucked up under the train. Poor thing died on Easter Sunday ... which was the same day we got him .. name was Tiny ... 14 years earlier. He got runned over by a danged ole train. Someone wrote a song about that!

Anyway ... enough of all that. Just sorry Fly for telling you something untrue. There is no such product as slime gurad .. but I'm going to start working on one!!!

emoScratch TT I would normally not say anything but your conversation sounds so much like my wife's I have to. I know when we have ladies on the forum when we go from Slim guard to safety meeting, to dog, to train, to dog getting sucked up by a train, than back to slim guard. Where those all connect I have no idea. Just to let you know I sometimes have a problem following my wife's as well and this is after 22 years.emoBigsmile I'M SOOO CONFUSSED!emoConfused Jmax

You know .. you are right! Pretty wide variety of subjects I agree .. but weren't you proud of me for making it so concise???? That one could have wandered for a while!!!

I say .. blame it on the fact that I haven't had coffee YET! If you have to blame it on something .. let's leave the girl thing out of it least we start another war. HAHAHAHA

Jmax, I wish you knew my wife. Shes in a class all her own at talking about 5 things at once. I just nod my head alot, if she looks at me funny, I nod the other way. Your post had me laughing, thinking of my wife. RSimms, some of us are really wanting to go noodling this summer, why I have no idea, but we need a guide. Let us know your fee for teaching us this fine art of craziness.

Man, I agree with all this. My wife can have me answer a question and most of the time it's a different question that I thought it was. Then come back and want to know why??? It's a real challenge sometimes just TRYING to understand the female mind. I've been married 42 years and it's been impossible for me figure them out. I heard a joke about this subject. A man ask God to build a highway to Hiway from the US to Hawaii or either explain women to him and God asked if he wanted a 2 lane or 4 lane. They are wonderful creatures but if you're a man, you ain't got a chance of figuring them out.
