Wanted a little help with the problem I am having. The problem is I have slung blades off 2 different props in the last month. I am running a 20 ft Bullet with a 300hpdi. The first prop was a turbo fusion 4 four bladed prop 28 pitch. and the other was a factory 28 pitch Yam. The first prop slung the blade and went through the foot and I replaced the foot . The second slung and did not touch anything. I am having a new prop shaft put in just in case. emoDoh Anyone have any suggestions what is causing this to happen or any way to make it stop happening

I have broke four on my Allison. Boats like yours and mine are hard on props. If you are surfacing the prop for max performance it is helping you break them faster. I think its usually a bad pour though when casting the prop.

It is VERY rough on a surfacing prop. It is pretty common on rigs like that. Just not as often as your are. They are some very good props out there that are not noted for slinging blades.

Have you tried a TXP prop. I had slung a blade twice on trophy props and went to a TXP. I have been running it for over a year now with no problems. The TXP has a thicker blade than most and should hold up well for you.

TXP or a performer by Performance Props will be your best bet. Tell them Lance sent you. I have spent my kids college savings down there.

Another prop you can run is a Hydramotive. Todd sent me one with the guaranty that it would NOT sling a blade. They are made for your application.

I agree about Billy and Tim. Go by and see what they have to say. emoThumbsup

I run a Performer 4 blade, 28 pitch, 6000 rpms, 1 1/2" above the pad on my 20xd and haven't slung a blade yet.
I have the same amount of ponies, but mine is black. emoBigsmile

Billy and Tim was the ones that gave the fusion 4 prop to me and as for the motor being to high that's bull. Water pressure is at 20-25 pounds at wide open can not be to high running that kind of pressure. Thanks any help is better than none..

Looked at fury props before and 26 pitch was there big one . 26 pitch will turn my motor 10 grand I will pass thanks but I will keep my top end together.
