Fished Priest today, caught 3 larges and 1 spot trying to locate some new structure. I also caught about 10 white bass. This morning was so cold I had to wait 30min to get in my rod compartment. I fished deep and slow with spoons off the main channel. Fishing should pick up next week, shad are ball in up again. I will need to do my fishng before Thanksgiving because after I eat I am going to be on the couch, watching football, with my pants unbuttoned. Anyone else get out this week?

Hey Brian,

I know about the cold..If you are not dressed for the weather it will go right through you!

How deep was the water you were spoon jigging in? What kind of spoons do you use? We have been focusing on deep water off of the channel here too and doing well.

I was jigging about 20-25 feet. with a Cotton Cordell C.C. Spoon. It works okay but I always think that other ones look better. Years ago I bought a lot of them, so I fish with them until they are gone or find out somehting else works better. What do you use? I think that is they all probably work the same as long as they have good flash.

We use the same ones and they produce quite well and are inexpensive. I had a couple of Hopkins spoons and I like them a bit better, but they are more expensive. I think spoon jigging is often overlooked and when the times are right they will outfish anything...especiall for deep water.
