My step-son who is 15 years old, and myself went to some family property sat. to do some bow hunting. He has just began to express an intrest in bow hunting so we bought him one last month and we began practicing. He is becoming a pretty good shot and sat. was his first trip with it. We set up about 35 yards apart, so I could keep and eye on him just in case. About 10:30 here came three one being a fawn, the other two does. Just as it looked like they were going to go his way and give him a shot, they turned and went on the other side of me. So what was I to do since I had not killed one yet and he was'nt going to get the shot, I took it. Can someone say deer steaks, I made a good shot and took the smaller one that did not have the fawn with her; it was awesome. He had a good seat to see all of the action, I just wish they would have turned and gave him a shot. He was excited and so was I, maybe before the season is over he can get a crack at one with his bow. To me there is nothing that compares to killing one with a bow, it is the ultimate rush, no matter if it is a doe or a good buck I still get pumped.
