small outboard needed

any of you guys have a small outboard motor for sale, i need a 5 or 6 hp for my 10 foot pelican rhino. i have a 2hp johnson on it now but it is way to slow and not very reliable. i am considering one of those new briggs & stratton 4 stroke outboards from sportsmans warehouse but they are $800.00, would like to find a reliable used one instead.

I have a 1981 7.5 hp merc. I don’t know if it will work for you since it has a long shaft. It has always been as a sailboat kicker so it has very low time. The only issue I know of is the prop is in ok shape but frozen to the shaft. I plan to paint the cover this spring and ask $350, but will take $300 as is

sounds like a deal and in my price range but i am sure i would need a short shaft engine. thanks for the reply

thanks for the replys guys, i finally bought one on ebay christmas day 3.5 hp nissan. i just hope i don't fall victim to ebay junk. looking forward to getting back after them soon. see you on the water.
