Drew an early boat, #3. Ran down to Pine Harbor area. Fished couple of docks. first one, nothing. Worked a small flat, and around a point. Pitched square bill and brush hog. Next dock, my line swims off, set the hook, and nothing. The fish took my brush hog without being hooked. Rerigged,and went back through. Line moved, feel some weight and set the hook. first keeper, and it is only 6:30. Talk about a confidence builder. Fished a couple other community spots in Soddy creek, didn't see another boat. Nobody was home. Ran to the river, spent the rest of the day there. Fished shallow, to 20 fow, docks, laydowns, rocks, riprap, flats, points,etc. No keepers, and maybe six or seven bites. Friday was much better, fish moved, and I did not figure them out. Congrats to Steven and Billy (again) on their win, plus big largemouth. Thanks to the committee for another event. Next up is Memorial Day weekend, oh joy.

Good effort, Dean, you did better than I did. Thanks for helping me launch. The boat traffic and the parking lot were insane. I quit early, went home and popped a brew.
