Drew boat number thirteen. Bad luck, and I am not superstitious. Fished a community hole in the park, no fish, not even a non keeper. Ran to spot number two, same result, nothing. Move number three, no fish, not even a bite. Ran down river , fished the river and Mike gets a short smallmouth, hit a Senko on the fall. Few more shorts, and finally a keeper spot. Couple more moves, nobody to keep our spot company. Mike connects with a short largemouth, just missed the the 15" mark on the board. Move to our last spot and can't find any keepers. Ended with a light weight spot, who managed to take the big fish award in class, also the only one weighted in. Caught 6 or 7 total for the day, one keeper.
Threw shakey, senko, spinnerbait, topwater, cranks, jigs, brush hog. Shoulda pitched some red stick.
Thanks to the committee for another well run event. Congrats to the winners. See ya'll at the next day event in August,, just can't night fish.
