Went out late , 5 PM, out of HBSP. Fished Wolftever. Started in one of the sloughs, laydowns in 8-12 fow. Nary a bite, tried a shakey head, crankbait and lizard.I did mark some uncooperative fish on the depth finder. Ran across the creek and fished the humps and shell beds near John Patton island. Was fishing in 10-20 fow. Tried XD - 10 and Fat free shad, one slick. After a couple of hours, put them down for a watermelon shakey head on a 1/4 oz head. Caught two slicks between 8 and 9 PM, after most of the traffic went home, and the water calmed down. Caught a decent LM about 9:15. It was dark enough that I knew I had a fish by feel, couldn't see the line move. Didn't have my scales, she was 20" on the bump board. Boat was in 11-10 fow. Too dark for photo's. Didn't plan on fishing that late, glad I stayed. Ran a total of seven miles from launch to return. Temp read 79-80 degrees. I'm heading back Wednesday.
