Mark calls late last night, would I be interested in fishing Wednesday. Absolutely ! Ran to our first spot, start out with Mark catching a real nice Gar on a crankbait. I catch two keepers on a squarebill. Mark then catches a keeper. Three in the box by 8 AM. We keep fishing 5-7 fow with hydrilla. The action is pretty steady, catching numerous fish that don't help. We were using a topwater, spinnerbait, crankbaits, chatterbait, shakey head and Senko's. My bites were light, just felt the weight. The fish were more aggressive in the afternoon. Make a move, hoping to limit. Mark adds one more. Move again, and fish deeper, 15-20 fow. Mark is cranking and puts a 5.2 in the box. A limit. Later he has another good one on a crankbait, jumps near the boat and spits the bait. Bad thoughts, and x rated vocabulary. Keep working both shallow and deep, cull up several times. Mark has a T-H marine cull set in the boat, used it several times. Also caught a shellcracker on a Bandit 200. Weather wasn't too bad. Some wind, few sprinkles, and one good downpour. Needed our shades in the afternoon. Had fun with the little tourney, and a great time fishing with Mark, thanks. Ray, just kept your seat warm.

Enjoyed the company today Dean. Weather was better than expected an we caught fish can’t beat that.I would of like to have had about 10 more shellcrackers like the one you caught. Yummy!

We had 14.3 w/ Marks BF. Second was 13.6, close. The cull system helped us add the ounces we needed to win. Everyone was double digit at weigh in.

That 13.65 2nd pl was me. Nothing like making the top half of the field in a 4 boat tx, lol. Congrats.

Great report Dean, I appreciate the details. I understand not saying exactly where - none of us expect that but I'm trying to follow what you've done and give relevant details to help fellow fishermen be successful. That's really what the foundation of the CFF was supposed to be. I had seen a trend in the last few years of a lot of reports that really didn't give facts. Jmax's reports were great examples to include what bait, what color, what cover, water temp, what depth, what presentation. Thanks again for the details, details make a difference!
