Made a short trip to Nickajack Friday. Gates were open, drifted 1.5 to 2.7 mph on GPS. Found bait and feeding fish around S. Chick creek. Fished laydowns and seams, no keepers. Funny how you cast one direction, and fish bust bait behind you. Went past the bridges, tried to fish any slack water, current breaks. Caught a few spots that would have weighted in, just no size. Very random on depth. Ran to the dam, fished corner between riprap and bulkheads. Caught largemouth and spots. Plenty of bait in the area. Most of the fish caught on Zoom finesse worm. Downstream, was magnum finesse worm, w/ 1/2 oz sinker, and sometimes that wasn't heavy enough. Nothing on cranks, topwater, jigs. Didn't learn a thing that will help next Saturday, still, nice day on the water.
