After an early week hunt in Illinois only to not see any, notta, not one deer, I decided to head to Lincoln county this morning at about 3:45. The woods were quiet and a nice little cool wet fog set in for the first hour and a half. I thought I was going to repeat the Illinois trip because up until around 7:45 CST, I hadn't seen the first deer, then it was like flipping a light switch, they came out from all directions. I managed 1 doe, saw 10 other doe and (2) 6 pointers, one of which walked within 20 yards of my ground blind. I took a pic with my cell phone of him and watched him walk into the cedar thicket minding his own business. Got a complete pass through on the doe hitting both lungs however she managed to travel 100 to 125 yards from the spot I hit her and again no blood for roughly 50+ yards.......

Congrats on the doe! Really been seeing some bucks moving for the last couple of days, so it should be getting pretty good soon!
How far out was the doe when you got her?

probably no more than 40 yards, complete pass through but no blood where she was shot. She was standing in a field that had fairly tall grass so we may have just not seen any evidence of the hit.

Trying to add a pic of the six pointer in front of the ground blind.
