Smokey Mtn. Trout July 2006

Went to the smokies for a 3 day vacation this weekend. Had decent luck with the trout while i was up their. The bite was good in the early morings fishing the ripples just above deeper holes with dry flies (caddis). Then as the sun came out the bite was better on trout worms in deeper holes. Fished areas throughout the park from Gatlinburg to Cherokee. Sure hard to beat a fresh trout on the grill.

Hey man! Sounds great... what areas of Cherokee did you fish?

We normally fish Citico Creek, North River, and the Tellico. I wouldn't reckon ya'll made it that far south did ya?
