Nobody owns a spot ! But when you go out of the way to fish areas that see little to NO traffic at all. But eventually someone gonna see you . And if you win a couple tournaments. They start watching and and when you not around Fish it. And if they can beat you there use it against you. So all in all. I reckon I'm gonna have to go rip the lips of the a set of fish and that's pretty bad.

Re: So it has come to this

It's been that way. If you are catching fish some where on this lake you are not the only one who has found them I am sure. Last Thursday night I hauled but to a favorite community spot and beat two boats there and they both looked pissed like I was in their yard. lol

Re: So it has come to this

This person has been watching sneaky Lil booger head he is hig but that's just fine

Re: So it has come to this

If you want to keep your spot a secret, don't fish it. I had a spot I fished for a couple years during tournaments only and never saw another boat on it. I haven't been able to fish it for 2 years now because there's always a boat on it.

Re: So it has come to this

The trick is not getting seen on a good spot. This lake is full of "hole hoppers". I hate to tell ya, but there are no secret spots anymore.

Re: So it has come to this

LOL!!!! nice to see this discussion/issue is universal :)

ive said this for years and its proven to be pretty much true : "begin to win and they'll watch; become dominant and they'll accuse"

youre just gonna have to accept the attention that comes with winning or quit winning :D

Re: So it has come to this, people are fishing my spots and Im mad about it.

I agree with almost every statement made. But in reality, thanks to the graphs we ALL have access to its true there really are no hidden honey holes left. And yes it does suck, when you find these places long before down scan, side scan, and chirp came out. cause it only takes a newb with a good HDS 12, 3 minutes to figure it out. when it took 10 years of trial and error before. But what do you do, besides put your head down , fish, and drive the old '93 smoking Stratos back to the ramp, get a weigh bag , and be proud of your catch for the day. And think of how you will be better next time.. And how maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to have me one of those Lowrance HDS 37's. See ya on the water fellows...

Rats! I am not good enough for anyone to want to follow me.

Shoot I have no idea if I'm fishing someone's honey hole or not. It will take the rest of my life to finish exploring this one lake!

I wish I had some spots! You are all welcome to follow me.

I reckon I'm gonna sink to that level so watch out

Re: So it has come to this, people are fishing my spots and Im mad about it.

I pay my taxes, EPB (TVA ),TWRA, surrounding bait shops and convienance stores my money, so they're my spots too. I don't catch the fish out of them on purpose. That way y'all don't know about them.

Yep, been going on for as long as I can remember. Around 10 years ago, Fishnvol and I were smoking them good on a ledge. There was a ranger a ways off but he wasn't coming in on us so no big deal. I cranked up the big engine and scanned about 50 yards and stopped. The ranger came roaring in to right where we were, we hear "beep beep" and then he took off. That still ticks me off.

The guys that dominate the larger trails Have more than one spot, so when the pecker beaters move in, all is not lost. And you can’t get pissed if all you do is run community holes or brush piles.
