A thought just occurred to me ....

Food for thought.

The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because nobody was married.
Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard, Goober, Gomer, Sam, Ernest T Bass, Helen,
Thelma Lou, Clara, and of course Opie - all single.

The only married person was Otis, and he stayed drunk.

I'm just sayin' ....... !

When asked how I look so much younger than my years(I didn't look like an adult until I was at least 30) I just grin and say "No wife. No kids."

So yeah, there is merit to this observation. Nothing wrong with having a wife and producing offspring, but damn it sure has been a peaceful life

I grew up watching Andy Griffith... may have played a part in my decisions along the way I never saw lol
