Fat Albert and I gave it another go this morning except this time he let me be the guide. Therefore, we did much better number wise. We caught 26 total fish, 23 bass and 3 redeyes. We launched at 5:40 AM in Soddy Creek and stayed there until we quit at 11:30. Only 3 of the bass were keepers. Most were 12-14". 5-6 ft deep rocky banks and later 12-16 ft deep. Just like day before yesterday, most seemed to be near old wood.
FA started the action with a good fish on a Pop'R that got into some brush and got off. We did save the lure though. I got one on a Baby Lucky 13 (Remember those). We only caught those 2 on TW, I think. I picked up one on a white chatterbait and the rest came on worms and the craw tube. FA caught the biggest (about 3 lbs) on a weird looking 8"worm that was kinda red with a red curly tail. He also fished a shiny Blue colored worm and a pumpkinseed with chartruese tail. He couldn't make up his mind what he wanted to use. But, I believe he got bites on everything he threw. At least, he was jerking the heck out of it every few minutes and saying "dang", I missed that little f**t.
I held up my end of the stick on numbers using a Zoom trick worm in green pumpkin and later a green pumpkin lake Fork craw tube.
We got the heck off the water because the ski boats were beginning to swarm like flies. Another beautiful morning with a good friend! Distinguished looking old gentleman, isn't He! Speaking of flies, I don't recall seeing any willow flies where we were fishing.
