First off, thanks to everyone that came out. I had a good time. Thanks to BBass for bringing some scales. We had 11 people show up. 5 people weighed fish.

1st place - Mike Wilson 3.88 lbs
2nd place - Me 3.75 lbs
3rd place - Billy Bouymaster 2.98 lbs

I hope you all had a good time. Hope to see you again next week.

Lots better turnout this time. I sure wished I could have fished it with you guys. I got home and then the trolling motor decided it would work again. I didn't figure I would do any good in all that wind without a trolling motor.

Great little dogfight. I wasn't sure how I'd like it but now I'm sure I'll fish a few of these.
Price is right and the conversations afterwards were great. Lets see a few more next week!

I had a great time last night and I will definitely be fishing more of them. Unfortunately my guiding business didn't work out last night and we couldn't get a big enough keeper to bring in. emoBang emoLaugh emoLaugh

i was glad to see the amount of people that showed up and no one waited til the last minute to sign up. was the hat wave blast off ok or would you rather have a horn? also does anyone know what the county boat was up to at blast off?

The hat blast off was fine for me. I think it should be fine unless it grows to 23-30 boats then you might think about maybe having a horn or moving it to the main river.


As for the county boat, we saw them going in several sloughs so I think they were just out riding around.

Hat is fine. I would encourage a River Blast off though. (10 or more) Jet ski, wake boats and people on top and under the bridge make it a bit more dangerous.

so do you want to sign in at soddy and everyone meet at the mouth of the creek for blast off next week?

I think that would be best. Steves Tuesday night does the same thing. Just have everyne head out to the main river and stay inside the buoys

Thats because its a lot safer than everyone being bunched up on top of each other...

thats true but ive seen some guys idle well outside the bouys. and its usually the slower guys and then we get stuck in their wake when we pass them.
