*SOLD* I have gotten too fat and need to replace this outboard with a 150 hp motor and thought I'd let it be known a bit ahead of time in case someone interested would like to see this Honda run before I remove it. There are no problems at all with this engine (to my knowledge), I am just upgrading the power because it just isn't enough when I get 4 or more persons on the boat - especially some of us that are not exactly tall enough for our girth (I should be a redwood).
The water impeller was replaced this year and there are spare parts such as plugs, thermostats, gaskets, oil filter, prop nut retainers, etc. Controls will be included, as removed by our own "wretchin2" when he finds some time (quit wrecking your motors for a bit so he can get to it!). I'm asking $3500, and if you are interested and would like to test it, just post here or send me a PM and we'll take it out and let you test it.

PS: Testing does NOT include bringing a fishing rod, Mr. Spurhunter!!!!! emoBigsmile

Re: For Sale by EricM: 1998 Honda 90 hp 4-stroke

have you checked with any dealers id say you could get a fair amount on trade in towards a new motor with this one.. Check with Bunch Marine I think they just became a site sponsor.. i seen him post a few times about taking older motors in on trade towards a new one.. Might be the lest hassle on getting a new one

Re: For Sale by EricM: 1996 Honda 90 hp 4-stroke

I have a used engine in mind for it. I just have to check it out to make sure it is worthy of Eric's boat. If so, it will find it's way on the old girl. Hopefully someone will want the Honda while it is still on the boat and can see it is a good engine, just not enough power for the boat (rated for a 150 HP) with the fishing load as Eric stated.

Re: For Sale by EricM: 1996 Honda 90 hp 4-stroke

It ain't just the fishing equipment load it is the Eric load that is slowing down his new to him boat! If he didn't have 30 gallon bait tank for dead shad it would help his performane. LOL
