I bought a 23p Tempest Plus about a week ago and put it on this morning. I got my Humminbird 999 from DJs Marine yesterday and installed it this morning. Cant wait to play with both the prop and new unit! Wish I had the sac to also buy an 1199 at that price, but then i would have to sleep in the boat because I wouldnt be allowed in the house. Haha.

Is there a better option to testing manual jack plate height as far as trailer parking? Last time i did it the parking lot at Wolftever was pretty full and i had to park about 4 rows deep in the overflow lot. I spent more time walking to and from the truck than i did on the water. So can i leave my truck in the loading area with a note attached or hazards? Or is that frowned upon? Where i would park would not inconvenience anyone, at least i dont think it would. Whatre your thought?

most people do frown on doing that.in fact i remember a time that truck and trailer were in the water when boat ower returned.

Another reason I ask is because ive seen a couple trucks and trailers parked to the right of Wolftever ramp if youre looking towards the water. They were parked there for hours because they were there when i launched and when i got back a few hours later. It didnt seem to bother anyone and didnt make manuevering around any harder. So it seemed like a convenient place for what Im trying to do. I dont mind doing it the right way, but if there was an acceptable shortcut i would LOVE to try it. Haha.
