We had a recognition ceremony at work this week for our yearly accomplishments. As some of you know I'm a Test Engineer for the US Army Missile Defense Program. I got my 5 year pin (a year late) and my boss got his 25 year pin (2 years late). When we were examining our pins we noticed the case said, "Made in Hong Kong"</p>

This ruined the ceremony for me.</p>

This is not a stab at any party, just an observation.</p>

I agree with you 100% Brandon, everything we now buy from any store is made in China but Rubbermaid products and they are made here, All of our money is going overseas, not much stays here, this is the reason our government has to borrow money from china, not any left here. Go to wallyworld and go down the isles and try to find something made here, it is almost impossible.

Absolutlely Brandon. I can't find the email right now, but look up the Emma Maersk Cargo ship. It is monstrous!! It can carry over 15,000 full size cargo containers and makes the trip from China to California in 4 days! The two scariest things are that it goes back with empty containers, and they are currnetly building 11 more!!

As long as we continue to tax the heck out of corporations through programs like Cap and Trade and forced Health Care plans, corporations are going to continue to move their plants overseas where the taxes and regulations are more lenient. When are our gov't officials going to wake up and notice? Their idea of of economic stimulation is for the gov't to spend, spend, and spend some more. This goes for both parties.

It's amazing that someone doesn't even have the brains to figure out the the difference in a few pennies to buy locally made pins for our service men will go miles for morale.

Some one came up with a bright idea that we need to put a lock on every gun that is made so children won't shoot themselves. Well As a deputy part of my job as to promote PR we had to distribute these locks to individuals that asked for one. There was a million dollars set aside just to pay for the locks themselves. Well we received about 20000 of these locks and guess where they were made. Yep china. NAFTA Did it again.

I can understand why that took away from the ceremony. It is unreal how our country has went from a manufacturing giant toa nation of consumers.</p>

Congratulations on the Achievement ! emoParty emoParty </p>
