I have a Ranger Z120 and it currently has a Lowrance HDS 5 in my console and a Lowrance Mark5x Pro up front. I want to add an HDS 8 or 10 with structure scan. I want to keep both my other units if possible. Although I know how to use my current units, I know little about how they can interact or what they can share or tansducers. I need someone to advise me, sell it and install it. If you have any recomendations or advice, please PM me. FYI I bought my Range from Bunch. They are great folks but not sure if their price for the new unit will be competitive.

You will be able to share transducers with your hds5 but not the mark5x. I'd sale the 5x and get a hds10, or sell both HDS 5 and mark5x and get 2 HDS 8's.

If you can fit a "7 or 8" in the dash it will be nice to have all the space for the Sidescan and /or sonar or GPS ,or all 3 on the screen while you idling along. Like BB45 said if you can swing "8s" or "10s" go for it.
I`ve been dealing with Curtis Bunch since his grandpa owned the business decades ago...he`ll treat you right and fairly . They installed my HDS 7 & SS on my boat...excellent and professional job.

I can more than likely give you a better price on the units, but I don't install, although I do have several names of local people with good reputations (and CFF members) that would be glad to install them.

Might want to check with fishnfun on prices they can compete with anyone on price and can install. I also take people who buy from us out on the water and show them how to use them.
