I just put a new sonar unit on my boat and the transducer is quiet a bit longer than my old one and it is causing a very large amount of spray to come in the back of my boat. Does anybody have any suggestions on a way to fix this?

It is hard to say what is wrong without seeing it but it sounds like it is to low. This could be caused by the difference in the length between your old and new unit. If the bracket will allow you to slid it up try that first.

If you search YouTube for installing LSS1, or installing sonar transducer there are also many video showing correct transducer placement on the boat. One thing they all talk about is leveling the transducer so is parallel to the transom.. a tip someone gave me was to visualize your boat on plane with you in it and set the angle of the transducer so is parallel to the transom . Maybe the tip of transducer farthest from the boat(opposite end of where it mounts to boat is too far tilted down..

Not sure what transducer you have.....

If it is a humminbird transducer be sure you installed the plastic plug that came in its own bag. It is supposed to be installed to reduce rooster tail....Only the XNT mounts can use that plug.
