My partner and I fished the southern anglers bass trail tournament on Chickamauga saturday. To say the least it was very tough. We only mustered 4 keepers all day for 7.17 lbs which was good for fifth place and a hundred bucks. It only took 9.31 lbs to win it and some of these guys are really ggod fishermen capable of 20 pound sacks on any given day. We caught all of our fish on breaklines from 12-24 feet deep and all came on a black jig. We did catch a couple of non keepers on spinnerbaits but nothing else. We tried plenty of shallow water but just couldn't catch them that way.
