Thinking about taking the boat with me this weekend to visit family in west TN. I wanted to see if those of you on the forum have fished the southern end of Kentucky lake (New Johnsonville area and south). If so, opinions and pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the insight!

From New Johnsonville south it's mainly just river fishing. There are a few creeks, but not many. You can run up the duck river, but you have to be very careful. I always did well on blade baits this time of year. It used to be one of my favorite lakes to fish, but right now it is just pitiful with all the carp. Don't get me wrong there are still bass to be caught, and good ones too but it is nothing like it was even 3 years ago. Hopefully we can figure out a way to get rid of those carp and restore it to the lake it used to be.

Thanks kevo! I’ve heard it’s been “off” from what it use to be and that’s why I thought I’d reach out to get some perspective.
