sparkplugs

i have a 1987 johnson gt 200 i was needing to know whats the best sparkplug to use in it and what to sit them on.

I would use a champion QL77Jc4 and gap them at 35 The book says to gap at 30 but it has been better at idle if gaped at 35

i used them in the past but my motor is not in that good of shap and i started useing ngk and they did a little batter but vales them out to. my motor as only 90psi on each cly.thanks

Its your motor use what you want but I would use the champion. The ngk fouls out because the coils on the earlier omc engines couldn.t generate enough charge to fire the ngk plugs good.

thanks. i was not thanking of the coils not haveing enough fire for the ngk.right now i thank i got more then just plug truble thanks.
