Ok, so I got a new Ambassadeur 6000 reel today and I am going to put 50# braid on it. I know I am supposed to back it with mono, but what size, and how much should I put on? </p>

Spur I use SW Ultracast on all my 6500 reels. Just put anything around 15 to 25 pound test for backing. About 30 or 40 yards. Then make a uniknot and tie the braid to the uniknot with a uniknot. Spool the braid real tight going on and you won't have any trouble. I have landed 8 blues over 20 pounds this summer with one of the rigs this setup is on including the 44 pounder I caught when you were with me. Six of those fish came on the same leader same hook and same knot. I won't say how many sinkers though.emoBigsmile
