Sportsman Marine

Has anyone used them for outboard work? Are they any good? I'm just checking them first, or need somebody close to Charleston, want to change impeller and tune up.

The Sportsman Marine on Bonny Oaks has been there for many years. I had some work done over twenty years ago and have bought a few hard to find items from them. Since My experiances were so long ago, I would advise you that my experiances are of no current value. Sorry

I heard also, that Marine Specialty, in Red Bank, has a good OMC Mechanic recently

Go with the CFF sponsor. I have not heard a bad tale on Nichols.

I hate to do it but any posts I saw bashing individuals or businesses have been deleted. CFF has always had a No Bashing policy. I have had bad experiences with area businesses myself and will be glad to tell you via PM, I recommend CFF members do the same when given a chance to rant or vent...-or- simply say you would recommend not using a business due to a bad experience...

This is my least favorite part of running this site...You are responsible for what you say here. A word of caution that slanderous remarks on a public (and local) forum about businesses, individuals, or local personalities may come back to haunt You in the form of legal action. It's been mentioned to me before in the past by businesses reading posts here on CFF that were better off being deleted. Please be aware that posts live here a long time and even the slightest misstated words can have a huge impact...like in the news this last year. What consitutes bashing? I don't have a concrete definition...I really hate to censor anyones post but I cannot afford to find out in court. If I see anything that could land me or you in court then please don't be surprised if it comes up missing. The threat of legal action alone is enough to make me think about shutting-down this site, as I cannot afford to hire an Attorney (divorced with 2 kids) to defend something posted here. CFF is just a small Free Fishing Site for anglers to share information - fortunate to be propped up by several good sponsors. It would be ashamed to see anyone ever negatively affected by this platform.

I hope you can understand why I have this policy.
