Wow, did I have a good day today at Sportsmans Warehouse in Chattanooga. I only get down there occasionally and had a list of a few "wants" (not needs) to pick up. I found a fishing sinker mold, a lead pot, some reloading dies, some RCBS parts, a book, some bullets, etc.. I went merrily along my way in the store finding my treasures and when it came time to leave I went to the checkout up front. The lady at the checkout rung up my total and then proceeded to tell me to pick out a balloon. Now I'm a little old for balloons and thought I might look a little childish carrying one out of the store. Whatever---I would go along with it. I picked one out and she took it from the rack and then proceeded to stick a pin in "My" balloon and ruined it. I really hated to lose my prize, but to my surprize there was a piece of paper inside the balloon that said 50% off. She then proceeded to take $78.62 off of my bill cutting it in half. I didn't even know there was a special promotion with the balloons going on but I certainly enjoyed getting all my purchases for half price even if I did lose my balloon. If only I had bought one of those guns or trolling motors I looked at. Anyway, thank you Sportsmans Warehouse! It made my day. emoDance

Gotta like those kind of shopping trips !

You did go back in and spend the savings, Didn't you ? emoSmile

Naw, I didn't go back in and spend the savings since my wife was with me and the money came from her pocketbook anyway. I saw her digging for her checkbook when she rang up the total and then she closed it and got out the cash when I got the 50% off balloon. Don't worry, I'll be back and spend the savings sooner or later. Thanks for the idea though.emoSmile
