It was an idea last fall and mentioned again this week. Is anyone interested in a night of camping, cookout, and live music jamming? I'd like to have a get-together in the spring once it warms up a little. We've got several folks on the board that play music and I think it would be a great time. Just gauging interest now and open to all suggestions on places and dates. Bbass...didn't know of an area we could "rent"?

Count me in!

I play guitar, and enjoy camping and all. I bet it would be a great time.

When and where...lets set up a date ya'll!emoToast

What about Parksville? You don't have to rent any place!! I'd love to go camping one night then go fishing for SPAATS the next morning!

Up at Parksville, there's plenty of space... But you'll need to get there by boat.

I have a spot. (FREE) But i would like to see us donate to the owner being its his water and power running down there. Its up in Opossum Creek. I'll have to look into it though. Plenty of tent areas. Wonder how big of a group were talking about.

Music and a few cold ones in Cherokee Nat'l Forest would last about 7.5 minutes before everyone involved would get a nice fat ticket. emoPolice

I've seen plenty of people up there on the weekends drinking, and playing music - although I've never even seen a Forest Ranger guy (or whatever this is -

I would definitely be down for donating. Knowing that we've got permission to be somewhere and not being hassled by emoPolice is worth it. I just got done practicing with a VERY good guitar player. Count us in as one of the "acts". hey FatAlbert...we need a cowbell player!emoBigsmile

Sounds like we've got some pickers and I'm sure the listeners will follow. Now, all we need to do is come up with a date emoDoh . Easier said than done, but anyone have some ideas?

I would also be glad to donate some fundage, so we don't get hassled by any 'smokies' aka the fuzz aka tha man..emoToast

fireworks+beer= one heck of a ticket. I was in college along for the ride never had anyone say a word to me about beer in a park before apparently thats a big no no and the fireworks weren't exactly good either.
