spring fishing..

Anyone else having a "tougher than normal" spring bite this year? catching fish has been tougher this year than last year seems like. At least for me, its REAL hit and miss but a lot more Miss than Hit!!!

The only trouble I'm having is getting to the lake. That of course turns into trouble catching them because you arent familiar with the conditions. It's always tough for me though lol

Even last fall it was off. Guess the fish are getting smarter.

One of the best springs I've ever had! Some days are much better than others but I've caught bigger fish this year consistently. Hang in there!

They are not as spread out as they usually are, I fished several locations yesterday without a bite and then moved to one area that was loaded with fish. They were all together feeding on Shad almost like they do in the fall. It’s been a strange spawn so far. Keep trying different areas and you will eventually find them.

This weather has been a big part of it. The fish just don't know what to do with the water temp and level fluctuations. I've had some pretty good days the past month though, I just haven't been on the size.

I hit one of them yesterday. Thought it was November. Caught 18 in about 20 mins. 3# was big fish.
