Put in at MCP around 10 and fished until 8pm, water temp was 69 this morning and 74 this evening. Caught fish in 3 to 10 ft. depth, bite was slow but consistent all day, fish were scattered, no more than 3 fish at any one spot. Caught about thirty, kept 16 crappie and one huge shellcracker. All the keepers were 11 to 13 inches and all male, except one 15 inch female (still full of eggs) that inhaled a minnow and got her gills ripped lose, or we would have turned her loose. Cabela's cheepo crappie baits (I don't know what they're called) in chartreuse with a white belly was the hot lure, also caught a few on various BG's of different colors and live minnows.
