Launched in heavy fog and 27*. Man, I love GPS, cruise at 5 mph, and follow the lines. Found the spot we were looking for, and TONS of bait, saw some marks I was confident were stripers, and we caught NOTHING…..decided to anchor down and catfish a little while, got one 4lb blue before heading for greener places.

We set off again in search of more fish. I still had stripers on my mind, and was determined to catch them. We got the area I was looking for and on my first cast hooked up. Hard pulling 12 ish lb line-side. With-in 5 minutes Wade and Tim both hooked up a double….turned out to be 20 and 22 lb stripers! Personal best fish for both anglers. At this point we were happy, but wanted more. We never found the sweet spot again, but still had some fun trying. I ended up landing an 8” white crappie and that’s all she wrote.

Enjoy the pics.
