I had to be in Guntersville early Saturday morning for a trip so I left here at noon to fish Friday evening some and see what the fish were doing. Allen joined me for the last couple hours. Large threadfin and lots of gizzard shad are abundant. The skipjack are in there thick, although I never saw them in the jumps, you can catch all you want. The whites are there as well if you can get through the skips. 
The drum can be had if you find the right seam, I saw a couple boats pulling them in one after another using threadfin.
We took the last hour to try at catfish spot with three bites, one of which produced a fat blue cat for Allen at 38 lbs.
