Allen and I had a crew of 8 from California we took catfishing below Gville dam Saturday. We stared with HORRID weather. Rain, 40 knot winds and cold. Nobody was prepared for it, and I was lucky I had some rain gear to throw on. It took us a while to round up bait with the conditions, and Im glad it did. That wind was making 4' rollers and spray blowing back up river. We headed catting just in time as the wind was coming down a little bit by then. First hole. Allens boat got one fish before we got there, and we anchored and showed them up. We caught 3 cats while they watched, going 11, 20, 22lbs. it slowed down and we moved to another location. Allen put two more of his crew on fish, one being a 34and weadded on more16lber. All in all, it was a great trip for them even with the conditions, long drive for me pulling the barge, but its a cool place to fish. </p>
