went squirrel hunting on saturday with big group of buddies up on Prentice Cooper. I had a great morning, everything was still white from the past night snow showers. It was a southren boys dream to be able to hunt in the snow... The only problem was no squirrels. emoBang. we had about 20-25 people showed up and only 4 of them actually saw a squirrel and only 2 of them got a shot off, but missed. NO SQUIRREL DUMPLINGS TONIGHT...

I saw a lot of tracks in the snow, so im thinking that they came out to get a quick feed early and then back up in their nest to get out of the cold.
I should have carried my treestand and 30-06 becasue everytime i deer hunt, the squirrels are climbing all over me.....I JUST DON'T GET IT..

i didnt ask the exact spot just wondering if you were on top or not, i hunt a secret spot on the side. so there you go now you know where mine is so if you would like to say thats fine and if not thats fine.

There is no such thing as a SECRET SPOT on Prentice Cooper.!!!!!LOL Last time I was there you had to take a number just to get a tree and that was 18 years ago I said then I would never go back.

i squirrel hunt there quite a bit. I have had days where i got a limit and days where i did not see the first one.
