The last couple of trips my cranking battery has sounded very weak. Posts look clean and everything is charged and tight, so looks like it may be time for a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions on a brand? I've been using WalMart and they don't seem to be working out too great, but maybe it's just me.

Thanks,
Jim

I neverhad much luck with the Wal-Mart batteries. I like the AC Delco. The best prices I could find back in the spring were at Franklin Marine on Hixson Pike. I think the 1000 CCA starting battery was about $80.00.

I have a Bass Tracker that came with Interstate batteries. I am going on the 3rd year and they have performed flawlessly. I have also used Die Hard batteries form Sears and is one of my all time favorites. You can get them at Sears and also K-mart now. The next I buy will probably be from K-mart......wife works there...grin!

Thanks to all that responded. This gives me something to work with and a direction to go. I've had several failures of Wally World batteries lately and I think I'm done with them from the lawnmower, truck and boat. Thanks alot, Jim
