Hello again guys I have a 17 ft bullet with a 115 mercury that has ben bored to a 140.the steering on this boat is extremely tight. I'm going to replace but not sure what type to put back on any ideas? I'm not sure the difference between rotary or rack and pinion what would be the better of the 2? thanks again for looking.

Does it have dual Cables ?......If not I would definitly go that route.... as far as the difference in rack and pinion...I know what that is but couldn`t give you a good comparison on the rotary....But I definitly put dual cables on for the safety factor.

Yes it has dual cables on it know. I have talked to a few local boat shops and they are saying that this motor shouldn't need dual cables. That single would be fine. I'm like you If it came with it why not put it back. Safety is key to me. Thanks for your reply. I'm still not sure which system is best?

I think what your calling rotary is probably the standard , more modern system. Takes up less room. I `m not sure though. I`d sure keep the dual with the speed potential of that boat.
