Like MrWhiskers, I too headed out again today. Not necessarily in prep for the CAT BATTLE. I'm fishing for that almight dollar (sort of ). Today was a blast. Enjoyed a return visit from the Lehman family from Dickson, TN. The last trip 14-year-old Sterling didn't get to come. He made up for it today. We hammered a cooler full of channel cats first thing in the AM, then we went in search of the Big Boys. It didn't take Sterling long. A 22-lber. just about pulled his pants off. Wish you could have seen that boy's eyes when that fish first showed itself. Dad caught a small (10-pound) fish and then Sterling took 'em to the mat again. This time when line starting screaming off the Garcia I knew we were into a serious cat battle. You should have heard those two boys hootin' and hollerin'. Tellico00 was in earhsot of us and said it was "sweet music." It took some minutes and I wasn't sure Sterling was up to the task, but I was wrong. When the 31-pounder hit the bottom of the boat, there was more hootin' and hollerin'. I was just as proud of Sterling's brother Austin. Most youngsters that age would be jealous of a sibling under such circumstances. Not Austin... he was rootin' his brother on and I think just as proud as if he'd caught it. Have I ever said "I love this job!" emoSmile
