Don’t set the boat keys on the bumper when you hook up the trailer. Yep. They’re gone. Of course you don’t figure that out until you you put the boat in. The water is so low we backed off the end of the ramp at Sale Creek. Broke a tail light out of the trailer when that happened. Not sure what it hit to do that. So my 4wd was able to pull the trailer up onto the end of the ramp without the boat but now way am I pulling Franks heavy but up that. We figured we might as well fish while we figure out what to do
So we decided to drop the trolling motor and fish the area around the ramp. Ended up catching one under the bridge and another out of the creek channel on a Texas rig. Caught a yellow perch on a Shad crank bait. Gonna eat her for lunch.
So Jake finally finds the extra key that we wired up under the steering wheel long ago.
We fire up Frank and ease back to the ramp just to find a guy with his trailer hung on the end of the ramp. I stood on the bow of his boat and dropped his anchor down to hang the end of his trailer. I pulled up on the anchor rope and he pulled the truck forward. Problem solved.
We were able to back franks trailer in just far enough to really power load him. I haven’t looked at the prop yet for fear of what we may have sucked up.
All in all it was a beautiful day at the lake and We caught a few fish. Oh it had its challenges but you know there are plenty of people in this world with real problems.
Always good to be blessed by Jesus. All the rest of this is temporary
