Just got off another thread where it was mentioned that firearms were stolen by burglars. This shoots down (no pun intended) the idea of gun registration and tracking of transfers. One, a criminal isn't going to register a stolen gun (unless they are up for the Dumb Crook Award). Second, a Supreme Court decision in July, 1968 ruled that for a felon to register a firearm violated his/her Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Maybe the gun control people could tell me where my 12 guns are that were stolen in March, 1970.
