I'm going today to look at this boat. It's a second owner boat. He has all the original paper work on boat and trailer. Do any of you guys have any pointers on what I need to look for. The boat is on the atlanta craigslist if you want to see it and read all the specs. Thx for any help

I owned a 96 Javelin with a 150 fast strike. The only problem I had was replacing the powerpack about $350 parts and labor. Its a strong engine but a little bit of a gas hog. My 17' 9" Javelin ran 68 mph on speedo so im guessing 63 to 65 mph on gps.
I have the same boat but the single console version with same motor, i've had mine for a year and a half and the only thing i've done is also replace the power pack, love mine. Just have a compression test done and check the hull as good as you can, it's worth paying a mechanic to go with you to check it.
