I have a stratos trailer for my 99 stratos. The arm that holds the keel roller is spring loaded so in order to load the boat you have to hold the arm down and release it when the nose of the boat hits the roller. This makes it impossible to load the boat alone. My question is does anyone know if you can change that arm out to one that's not spring loaded so the boat can be loaded by one person? Thanks for your help

I have a 99 model 21 ss extreme with a stratos trailer that i had the same problem , I took a bunge strap and put it around the trailer frame and hooked it to the arm that holds the roller this pulls the spring loaded arm down enough to keep the roller low enough to drive the boat on to the trailer .

The setup on my Stratos is the same....

I have no problem loading by myself. I just pull the boat up to the roller, stand on the tongue, hook the strap up and winch it on. If you're by yourself you're going to have to get out of the boat and into the truck.

Yes...you'll have to push the roller down a little and pull the boat up just enough to hold it, but it's not bad at all. I'm usually out of the water faster than two guys.

I was loading my boat like Solo is talking witch is not that hard to do but I'm the lazy type using the bungee cord I can drive the boat further onto the trailer which = less cranking the winch.
