wow man im really inpresed(sp) with what you have done with that boat i give you a great big pat on the back on a job well done

Thank you Guy's I appreciate your kind words it means a lot, here are some pics of the transom. I started off bycutting the cap of the transom so i could see what i was dealing with. The wood was rotten and was beyond hope, it had to be taken outI used hammers, Chisel's, auger bit's, and and my shop vac. it took aboutthree day's to get all the wood out from between the two layers of fiberglass, once that was doneI laminated three sheets oftreated ply together, then applied fiberglass mat to the top bottom and sides then very quickly and carefully slid the new transom in place then clamped it all together and let it cure for about two days, the cap took about two days to complete. normally i rush things and cause my self a lot of headaches. while i waited for the fiberglass to set upI worked on wiring, bilge pump, and aerator hoses. im not done with everything yet. Its kinda like a harley davidson a work in progress a new part here and there until you are happy with it. I am looking forward to getting everything caught up and fish with some of my friends on CFF.

Update! carbs on the merc 115 are D.O.A. i was able to work on the Carbs for several hours when yesterday evening I squeezed the bulb fuel filled each bowl,"GLORY" started engine ran great but noticed throttle would only give 10%.shut engine off made more adjustments to idle stop and also to cable length, reason being itcame off another boat. and had not bee adjusted properly. Istarted engine back up, All the while thinking I will call my wife and meet at the Chester and we will take a ride and enjoy the sunset, "What was i thinking"! engine's rpm's raised and raised even higher my ears are still ringing,I was able tomade quick adjustments slowed down the rpm'sbut now fuel is pouring out not one, but three carbs!!!! shut the engine off. Spoke in tongues or something we wont really say! but all is not lost here!.I have Carbs on the way from a newer merc, that will fit.to try and salvage something of the day,MyWife and i took the car to CF for a walk and talk session later went to Nana's Had a hot dog and a giant frozen Custered cone, now the day ain't so bad, full belly, good company, and Cabs on the way!!!emoThumbsup

Took the boat out for a test run today, I had problems with the engine not running just right. Bubbakat was a real friend with great tips and idea's, i finally started from square one and started checking everything the Flywheel outer ring was out of sync and you could not time it right, Jim from Superior marine had me bring it to the shop had it timed in minutes thanks Jim. the today the Stratos took a moment to plain out and shortly was heading to the main channel very nice ride took waves very easy came back to the trailer loaded it up. now all i have to do is make some minor adjustments and we'll be ready to go fishing.

Awesome james, congrats and great looking work. Looks 10 times different than when I saw it last. See ya out there.

james thats funny, I took my boat out today and the starter has gone out again, tried to start and all i got was click. Glad you got that one out there, looks great, you do good work.

If you have turned the screws on the carbs they will be out of sync. Do you have a manual on it? It not I can give you one on cd. Print out what you need then throw away. I am the worlds worse at getting my manuals greasy!!!! Good job on the trsansom. I am parting out a 115 if you need any spare parts also!!! Just PM me about the manual.
